Jack Gervaise-Brazier – Founder

Jack founded Hydra Vodka Company Limited and sits as Managing Director. Previously, Jack founded a Rum Company in Guernsey and London in 2018 and sat as the Group’s Managing Director until September 2021. In 2012 he co-founded Guernsey’s first brewery since 1929, expanding into the spirit market with the launch of its award-winning gin. During his time there, Jack secured all of the brewery’s funding and managed the explosive growth of the business including the acquisition and sale of pubs in the group before selling out to his co-founder in 2017 via an orchestrated MBO.

Before the alcohol business, Jack was in the finance industry, as a stockbroker initially, before buying into an asset management firm, having sold out, Jack Chaired a Trust Company, turning it around in the process. Thereafter he set up and subsequently sold a recruitment firm in the West End of London. With shareholdings across various companies he founded, and interests in different areas, Jack’s focus remains founding and funding exciting businesses across all sectors and driving them forward, the most recent being Hydra Vodka Company Limited.

Rene Riefler – Director

Rene sits as a Director of Hydra Vodka, with a specific focus on Corporate Governance, both internally and externally with reference to investor rights and protections.
Rene is also a Managing Director of Tennor having joined in 2011. Prior to Tennor, Rene has held senior positions in banking and Asset Management over a period of two decades. Formerly Rene was Managing Director and Founder of a nonbank owned Austrian Brokerage Company, RRS Strategies Services GMBH and the Co-owner, CIO and board member of Euro Invest Bank.

Rene’s other experiences include building the Derivatives Trading Department at Bank Austria, as well as serving in the position of Managing Director for their Investment Bank Division; Rene has also served as Managing Director for the Asset Management Division of Vienna Insurance Group.

Using his previous experiences, Rene is perfectly positioned to support all the Governance and financial aspects of Hydra Vodka.
